“Original soundtrack to Wes Anderson’s new film The Phoenician Scheme, in theaters May 30, 2025. The soundtrack blends Alexandre Desplat’s original score with a mix of classical and jazz recordings. Classical highlights include Stravinsky, Bach, and Beethoven, with a handful of Desplat’s compositions for the film referencing Stravinsky’s 1910 ballet L’Oiseau de feu (The Firebird). Jazz highlights include Gene Krupa’s ‘Drum Boogie,’ Glenn Miller’s big band standard ‘A String of Pearls,’ and ‘Mud Bug’ by the Fuasi Abdul-Khaliq Sextet, recorded specifically for the film. The vinyl package includes art from the film, notes by Alexandre Desplat and Wes Anderson and is pressed on Sea Foam color vinyl. (from ABKCO website) Made in Canada.
