Brilliant multi-instrumentalist Xian Hawkins spent several years as 1/3 of the reformed legendary Silver Apples. With the Apples now defunct (again), Hawkins has been recording under the Sybarite moniker. The surprise success of his debut album, 2000's musicforafilm triggered tons of critical and fanatical acclaim and ultimately landed him a deal with 4AD, who will be releasing his next album in the spring of 2002.
