Scarlet Youth is a shoegaze band rooted in Finland, which features in its ranks members from Iconcrash, ShamRain, Kemopetrol & Sidewaytown. The band took its first steps back in spring 2004 with the passion to create shoegaze music in the vein of the genre's legends, such as Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Chapterhouse etc. Over the years, more and more members joined on, resulting in their current incarnation as a 5-piece. Scarlet Youth count among their influences (in addition to the aformentioned bands) Tokyo, London, the last sunny day of autumn, The Radio Dept, the film Lost In Translation, "a girl whose name I don't know", daydreaming, Sigur Rós, Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer, and summers of childhood and love. This should give you a good idea of where they are headed.
