Coined by the NME to define a certain genre of noisy guitar bands, the term 'shoegazing' has come to encompass a great chunk of alternative music from the late 80s, from Jesus & Mary Chain, via Spacemen 3 and Galaxie 500, to Ride, Slowdive, Chapterhouse and My Bloody Valentine. Club AC30 has been promoting noisy guitar shows in London for five years, and after their first two successful albums of shoegaze tributes, Volume #3 features The Daysleepers, Hearts Of Black Science, Spotlight Kid and Wry and other current bands covering classics from Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus & Mary Chain, Swervedriver and more.
