This is the first in a brand new series of singles called As & When by London live night/record label Club AC30. Deep Cut is a new band with some pedigree making noise around London at the moment, consisting of vocalist Emma Bailey, guitarist Mat Flint and bassist Simon Flint. Mat Flint was founder member of early 90's Virgin/Hut band REVOLVER, and has played bass in DEATH IN VEGAS for ten years. Mat was also resident DJ at Heavenly Social for four years. This first single has been produced by Tim Holmes from Death In Vegas. 'Commodity' is indie pop at its best: STRAWBERRY SWITCHBLADE meets JESUS & MARY CHAIN, maybe a bit of LUSH in there, or even CURVE. Fuzzy laid back guitars and glacial vocals, 21st century Motown resplendent with thumping drum licks and guitars piled up to the eyeballs.
