Influenced by such bands as Medicine, Ride, Stars of the Lid and Mogwai, Echodrone combines Post-Rock textures with Ambient atmospherics, Dreampop harmonies, and feedback-drenched classic Shoegaze. The result: a cathartic mix of vivid musical colors and patterns that is greater than the sum of its parts. Echodone's live shows are accompanied by the work of avant-garde visual artists who project in direct response to Echodrone's wall of sound. The projected visuals complement, and in turn amplify, the surreal qualities of the music. Echodrone is an indie band for those bored with the indie genre. Echodrone has just released their debut 4-song self-titled EP, recorded at SoundPort Studios by Michael Padilla (Dora Flood) and released on the band's own label, Isomer Records. They have played shows with bands such as Sciflyer and Halcyon High and their song "Here We Are" has recently received extensive airplay on GroovyJim's Vertigo Radio, a well-regarded online radio station operating on the Live365 service.
