Similar in style to NYC darlings Interpol, Snowden come from deep-south Atlanta instead. Reverb-y, distorted guitars, with monotone vocals a la Ian Curtis/ Mculloch. This album is really catchy and even though they wear their influences on their sleeve they are certainly on par, (or above par) with other bands who worship the early Creation Records and 4AD rosters. Previously opened for The Arcade Fire, Xiu Xiu, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
