The mostly acoustic driven songs flow like a perfect marriage of Loaded era VELVET UNDERGROUND and late '60s California sunshine pop. The Cleveland Scene calls Dandelion Wine "the band's loosest and liveliest record yet, full of four-part harmonies, handclaps, Wurlitzer, and wonder," further stating that "they've never penned a better tune than the group hug 'I Love You,' except maybe for 'Girls and Tambourines,' where a 'la-la-la-la' chorus gives way to punchy horns.
