Self-recorded in a four-month span inside an old Northern California vitamin warehouse (the perfect location to capture the intimate elements and overall vast feeling of Elysium) the release was originally planned to be only an EP. But as the songs of Elysium grew in number and length, it gradually became a masterfully precise start-to-finish album. Sweeping orchestral arrangements balance the swelling builds of each song, as singer Judah Nagler's falsetto soars along. More than a sum of each track, Elysium is a grand gesture, a complete album that is epic in size, yet still intimate in nature to feel personal.
